Sunderland Empire Voted Best Theatre/Live Music Venue

Sunderland Empire are thrilled to be awarded Best Theatre/Live Music Venue in the North East through the Smooth Radio Love the North East Awards 2010.

The Smooth Radio Love the North East Awards 2010 with North East Tonight, The Northern Echo and The Sunderland Echo have been collecting nominations and votes from listeners and readers over the last few months to identify their favourite top ten places in the North East. The Love the North East Awards are all about the real places that local people love.

Sunderland Empire was up against strong competition in the category of Best Theatre/Live Music Venue from The Sage and the O2 who were also nominated. Andrew Rawlinson, General Manager of the Sunderland Empire was pleased to collect the award yesterday at the Smooth Radio Awards Ceremony at Beamish Hall Hotel.

Andrew Rawlinson, states “This a phenomenal achievement for the Sunderland Empire and I am proud to collect the award on behalf of all staff who have worked hard to ensure all our customers have an enjoyable experience”.
