The Sunderland Empire Stage Experience 2010 presents OLIVER!

Oliver! is one of the most beloved British musicals, bringing to life Charles Dickens’ wonderful characters with its timeless story of a young orphan boy’s journey from rags to riches.

Featuring some of the most favourite songs from musical theatre history, including ‘Consider Yourself’,‘You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two’, ‘I’d Do Anything’ and the irresistible ‘Food Glorious Food’.

Up to 170 young people will be picked to take part in this exciting production. For information on some of the parts available see the back of your application form.

We also need young and aspiring theatre technicians to take part in the project working with our professional team on sound, lighting, set, props and costume.

Open auditions on the 16th May 2010.

Ages 9 - 13 :- 9am
Ages 14 - 25 :- 12pm

The project runs from Monday 26th July - Saturday 7th August 2010
Performances Thu 5 - Sat 7 August, Thu - Sat 7.15pm, Sat Mat 2.30pm
Tickets £9.00 - £16.00. Pay before 18 June - all tickets £12.50

    * Auditions are free and open to everyone who returns an application form. Forms
       must be returned by Monday 3rd May 2010.
    * Technical interviews will be confirmed on application.
    * Project fee: £175.00
    * Includes two weeks professional tuition,Souvenir t-shirt and loan of costume.
    * Discount available for those enrolling more than one child (£20 discount for siblings). 
    * You MUST be available for ALL dates

OPPORTUNITY TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS

On the day, everyone auditioning for a performing role will be taught a song and a dance specific to their age group. Below is a link to the song you'll learn and also the opportunity to download the lyrics.

Please note - It's not imperative that this is learnt before the day as this will be taught, it's merely some advance notice.
